You can send money online using the SonaliPay Website and Mobile applications. Mobile applications are available for download on both PlayStore for Android phones and the Apple App Store for iPhones. The application is free of charge. To get started, you will need to register with your personal and contact information, enabling you to make remittances at any time afterwards.

The registration process is a simple step-by-step procedure and should take around 5-10 minutes.

Once registered, you can initiate fund transactions at any time, any day of the week, by providing the beneficiary's information and entering the desired amount in the App or through the SonaliPay website.

You can track the progress of a remittance using the SonaliPay App or on the website. While remittances generally process quickly, some circumstances beyond our control may cause delays. If your remittance hasn't reached the beneficiary within 48 hours, please contact our customer service team for assistance.

After logging into your account, you can check your remittance limits by going to the "Transaction Limits" under "My Account" in the mobile app or clicking the profile menu in the Web app.

No, Identity Documents are not required for registration. However, Identity Document Verification becomes mandatory if your remittances accumulate to more than #1000 GBP.

We accept UK Driving Licences and Passports from all countries as Identity Documents. However, if a non-UK passport is used for Identity Document Verification, submission of the Right to Work(RTW) document is required.

Under some circumstances, it may not be possible to cancel a transaction. Please contact our customer service team for assistance.

This can be done within the mobile application or website. Some detail changes may require additional documentation.

Simply follow these steps to reset your password:
  1. Go to our website at www.sonalipay.co.uk.
  2. Click on 'Login' and then click on 'I have problem with my Login'.
  3. Click on “I have forgotten my password”.
  4. Click on “Fix now”.
  5. Enter your registered email address and date of birth to proceed.
  6. Set a new password after entering the verification code received at the registered email address.
Please follow the same procedure on the mobile application if you wish to change your password through it.

You can use your credit card but there may be extra fees charged by your card issuer as they may consider these transactions as “cash withdrawals” or “cash advances”.

There are four options that beneficiaries can choose to receive their money.
  • Cash Pick-up
  • Credit to Bank Account
  • Credit to Sonali Bank Account
  • Credit to Mobile Wallet

Beneficiaries will receive a notification through their bank.

You have the option to access all your transactions through the "Transaction History" section. Furthermore, if you wish to see your transactions that are currently pending, you can navigate to the "Pending Transactions" section.

We are currently only sending to Bangladesh.

If you are a Bangladeshi national sending money back home, the government will add 2.5% to your transaction. The incentive is added automatically to your transaction.

The time taken for a transaction depends on the transaction method you are using.

Cash Pick-Up: Next Working Day.
Bank Transaction: 2-3 Business Days.
Sonali Bank Transaction: ~10 minutes.
Mobile Wallet: ~10 minutes.

Yes, you need long account/digital account number for sending remittance to Bangladesh.

You may have reached your transaction limit. If you wish to send more than your limit you must provide your source of fund document.

Yes, there is a limit which is given when you first register. You can see this limit and how close you are to reaching them on your profile.
